2 times in the past month and yesterday evening my bike was stolen. :( : ***Guys, I have TWO questions in here so please answer them if you can*** : Well they got almost everything. They left the HKS CAMP and some cleaning supplies. Alpine TV unit...gone. Amps...gone. Laptop since I just got off work...gone. Digital Camera...gone. Nitrous Bottle and bottle opener...gone, ETC :( : They took much more too...small stuff bah! The worst thing is, the car was going in for a new tranny Sunday. I went to see a movie tonight and did EVERYTHING right. Didn't have the system up when I rolled in, had all the fake face plates on, everything covered, alarm on, etc etc. Parked under a big ass light in a relatively small lot. Not near a corner or obstructed. You could see the entrance 200 feet away. Still...whammo. We figured out JUST how they knew. Basically, in this town we had a car show last weekend...mostly classic cars in a GOOD neighboorhood and nice people. I had EVERYTHING showing...alpine going, etc. But LOTS of kid punks looked at the car and some were dicks. Well, it's not a far stretch for some to see the car just a week later and think "hey, we saw that car and all it's badass stuff it had!" and jack it. 99% sure that's what happened. I mean, to have the BALLS to do this where/how they did, they had to know something good was in there and moreso than "It's a nice car, it must have nice stuff". Especially with fake faceplates and nothing in the open. : At 1am I come out and there's 5 Sherrifs around the car. Hood is popped and driver's side glass is broken. I look in...it's all gone. Basically, they broke the glass, opened the hood, cut ALL my battery cables and then went to work. I mean jesus, in a theatre parking lot they had the hood, trunk, doors all open and broken glass. Guess anything is possible for a determined thief. They KNEW what they were doing...got things out relatively clean. No body damage but some broken interior panels (just two). They cut themselves (blood in a few places) too. Serves em right. : Anyway, no witnesses...no cameras that we know of, no nothing. Took a report and put everything down I could remember. Had some cool cops thankfully. Car would NOT start. We tried to jump it after fixing part of the battery cable. NO POWER at all to anything. Is this a factory alarm cutoff thing perhaps? Maybe there is more damage somewhere. God I'm rambling. : Anyway, had it towed to Greg who was a SAINT at 3am dealing with me. And Mike La Canada for giving me a ride. You guys ROCK. Gonna get it to run and then have an insurance adjuster come out. I do have insurance on most things. But the camera and the NOS and laptop are NOT on it. Is there ANY chance of getting recouped for that stuff? I had heard only if I have a home owners insurance policy would that shit be covered. I dunno...I can't think. : Anyway, there's more to tell but I'm burned out. $2K in tranny and other upgrades, NOS still to do and now I gotta deal with the deductable and this shit. Whoever said stuff goes wrong in BUNCHES with the Z was right man. See ya guys tomorrow.
